Tints (part 1)

This week I tried to imitate the style of the photographer Anton Corbijn. I experimented on photographing people in a good background and also experimenting with tinting, and how that plays in to the overall picture.

  1. I love the coloring in this series. The tinting looks good with each photo. Most of the pictures looks natural with the tint. I don't remember if your artist focused on tinting with just people or with different subjects. I think it would be great to see tinting on other subjects besides people. I absolutely like your topic and the focus and it looks so good! Keep it up!

  2. You did a really good job Maria! The tints you added to the photos really matched with the models, backgrounds, and emotions conveyed in the photos. I think the tints especially helped with setting the "mood" of the picture with the emotions. Maybe for the next set, you could try to find backgrounds that are a little more intricate, I think it'll help work with the tinting. Keep up the good work!

  3. Great job Maria! I think that your photos of people portray a lot of emotion through the tints and facial expressions of the people that are in your photos. I think you need to watch the lighting in some of your photos, as they could throw of the tinting effect intended. Great Work!

  4. Nice work Maria! I really like the use of tints to eggerate the emotion in all of the images. I also really like that you used people solo and groups of people, which is a nice variety. I would just say watch the framing and maybe just spend some time choosing a really cool background to complete the image. Keep up the good work.
